Checkout Policy

Checkout on AdSella allows buyers to use various forms of payment to purchase items from sellers. This policy explains all of your rights and obligations when using Checkout.

1. Accepting these Terms

Our Checkout Policy is also a part of our Terms of Use. By using any of our Services, you're agreeing to the Terms of Use.

2. Overview

Checkout allows sellers to (a) accept payment by authorized credit transactions (b) have those funds credited to a seller's payment processing account (hereinafter also referred to as Payment Account), and (c) have those funds deposited into a seller's designated bank account.

Checkout is only available to buyers and sellers who are at least 18 years old who register and are approved for, or previously registered and were approved for, an authorized payment processing account.

Sellers may only use Checkout for the sale of items listed on AdSella's Services, and agree to fulfill items ordered once a payment transaction is complete and reflected in their Payment Account. AdSella reserves the right to terminate a seller's access to Checkout if the seller uses Checkout in any other manner.

Buyers may authorize a payment with any major credit or debit card accepted by an authorized Payment Account provider.

3. Third-Party Services

AdSella uses third-party service providers to perform many of the services related to payment processing, including card processing, currency exchange, identity verification, fraud analysis and regulatory compliance.

AdSella may share personal or transaction information with those third-party service providers that is necessary to process payments.

By using a third-party service, you may also be subject to an agreement with the third-party. For example, when you register for a payment provider account (such as Stripe), you agree to all of their terms and policies.

4. AdSella's Rights and Responsibilities

Checkout functionality may be made available, modified, or discontinued by us at any time without notice and is subject to the limitations in AdSella's Terms of Use

As a security measure, we may impose transaction limits on buyers and sellers. For example, we may impose limits relating to the value of any transaction, deposit, or adjustment, or limits relating to the cumulative value of all transactions, deposits, or adjustments during a period of time. We may also impose limits related to the number of transactions per day or other period of time. We will not be liable to a seller: (a) if we do not proceed with a transaction, deposit, or adjustment that would exceed any limit established by us, or (b) if we permit a buyer to withdraw from a transaction.

AdSella may refuse service of Checkout to anyone, for any reason, at any time.

AdSella reserves the right to decline transactions that we believe to be high risk, fraudulent, or in violation of AdSella's Terms of Use.

AdSella does not pass any secure data, including credit card numbers or bank account information to sellers. Sellers will only receive shipping information and limited buyer account information necessary to complete the order.

5. Seller Rights and Responsibilities

A. Store Payment Accounts Checkout is only available to sellers who register and are approved for an authorized AdSella payment account. A Payment Account allows sellers to collect payments, issue refunds, and track revenue and fees related to transactions. In order to withdraw funds from a Payment Account, a bank account capable of receiving funds from the Payment Account is required. Payment accounts are provided to AdSella users by authorized third-party providers. Sellers must provide accurate personal information as requested during Payment Account registration, and are responsible for maintaining and updating that information as necessary. Sellers will not impersonate any person or use a name he or she is not legally authorized to use. Sellers authorize us, and authorized agents, to verify their information (including any updated information) by accessing public records and obtaining credit reports about the sellers in order to approve a Collection Payment Account. Sellers also authorize AdSella to verify the sellers' information from time to time while the sellers are using Checkout. AdSella verifies sellers' information in order to safeguard the integrity of the marketplace and reduce the risk of fraud, money laundering, terrorist financing, and the violation of trade sanctions.

B. Disputes Sellers agree to resolve any disputes directly with a buyer, and in accordance with our Terms of Use. In the event that a dispute is escalated to AdSella's Support Team, AdSella will try to help the parties involved settle their dispute, subject to our Terms of Use.

AdSella reserves the right to recoup funds associated with buyer chargebacks. Sellers are responsible for any chargebacks or fees that occur due to fraudulent charges made in their collections and on their Payment Accounts.

C. Communications We will inform sellers of each transaction, or of other information pertaining to Checkout, using our standard communication procedures including email, or other messaging services associated with the seller's account.

D. Refunds Sellers may provide refunds or adjustments to buyers for payments made through Checkout using the refund functionality on AdSella. If the refund is processed on the AdSella website and issued within 30 days from the original date of sale, then any AdSella transaction fee assessed for the sale will be refunded in proportion to the refund amount you issue to your buyer. Important: It may also be possible for you to refund your buyer directly through your Payment Account. If the refund is processed directly between you and your buyer through your Payment Account (not on the AdSella website), then any AdSella transaction fee assessed for the sale will not be refunded. Note: In order to process PayPal refunds through Checkout, your PayPal account must grant API permission to the AdSella application.

E. International Trade Laws You agree that your use of Checkout will not involve any countries, entities, individuals or items prohibited by sanctions, embargoes, regulations or orders administered by the US Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") or other government agencies.

F. Adherence to Laws You agree that your items you sell through Checkout are not in violation of any governing Local, State, or Federal laws. You further agree that the methods you use to distribute the items you sell do not violate any governing Local, State, or Federal laws.

6. Payment Processing Fees

A. Overview AdSella's third party payment providers charge a payment processing fee for processing each transaction through Checkout. The fee is not controlled by AdSella, and is subject to the terms and policies of the third-party payment processor through which you opened an account. For a full explanation of fees, please see our Payments Policy

7. Termination

Sellers may terminate this contract and their acceptance of Checkout at any time by closing their Payment Account with the Payment Account provider.
